Life can be a real pain at times and we understand that every now and then things don’t work out as planned. However, we are a small business that relies on having our clients turn up to their booked appointment, not only so that we can pay the stylist that is at work ready to do your hair, but also so we can pay to keep the electricity on and the doors open. When you don’t attend your appointment or don’t give us enough notice that you can’t attend, that also means that we have turned away other clients because that time was allocated to you specifically for that service, which is not fair on us, or other clients. So, to protect all our loyal clients’ appointments, our business from loss of trading, and to ensure your appointment is relaxing and enjoyable, we have adapted the following policies. We may use our discretion and waive the terms and conditions where we deem necessary. We greatly appreciate your support of our business and we will endeavour to provide the utmost professional service to you at every appointment.
To secure your appointment within our salon, all clients are required to pay a $50 deposit upon booking. This deposit is deductible on the day of your appointment from total cost of your service.
We require 48 hours notice to reschedule or cancel any appointments, otherwise the booking deposit will be forfeited.
A $50 deposit will be required for all future colour appointments. If you are unable to pay your deposit at the time of booking, we will require your credit card details (please see below)
Your credit card will only be charged if:
A) You do not provide 48 hours notice of cancellation or change of appointment
B) You arrive more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment
C) You do not show up to a scheduled appointment
Your credit card details will be stored securely on our encrypted booking system.
Scheduled appointments can be cancelled without penalty with 48 hours notice by contacting the salon directly via our Facebook page, email, or over the phone. Texts messages and voicemails are not accepted.
Our highly trained hairdressers provide professional colour results using top quality hairdressing products. Our salon cannot guarantee lasting results if you are not using our recommended home hair care or if you swim regularly.
As per the Australian Consumer Law, refunds will only be offered if there is a major failure or minor problem that cannot be fixed within a reasonable time with a product sold or service provided to you that does not meet a consumer guarantee.
We do not offer refunds if you simply change your mind about the service or product purchased.
As per the Small Business and the Competition and Consumer Act, any problems with your service must be reported within (1) week of the original appointment date and time, by contacting the salon during business hours via phone, email, or Facebook. We will then fix the service or replace the product at no charge to you, within (1) week if the report or fault.
All quotes are subject to variation without notice and inclusive of GST
Any and all personal information you provide to MAK Hair will be kept completely confidential. We record your info from each visit to ensure we are able to recreate your hair, or make any changes upon your next appointment. We will never share your information with any third party. We may use your information to contact you directly via phone or email, to notify you of any news within the salon, and to announce any exciting promotions you may enjoy!
