Trust your hairdresser

There’s many reasons why you go to a hairdresser rather than changing up your colour or style on your own. Maybe it’s because you can’t reach the back of your head to get your colour or cut even. Maybe it’s because you don’t want to make a mess of your bathroom. Or maybe it’s because you like to chill out for an hour or so while being pampered

If you have been doing hair yourself it might be daunting for you to go to a hairdresser again.
Maybe you’re not quite sure what colour or style you want, or maybe you are scared of changing your look.

That’s okay, we’re here to help you.

To become a hairdresser we spend over 3 years working full time in a salon while we learn each skill and all the chemistry behind our products. We learn about face shapes, skin tones and eye colours to help you work out what colours and styles will enhance your appearance.
Then once we’re qualified, we continue learning, through advance colour courses, online hairdressing education, cutting and styling workshops, and the list goes on.
Trends change, technology advances so do the techniques we use to create new looks to keep up with the trends. We are constantly investing in our education and skills to continue to stay up with the trends and be able to give you the hair that you desire.

If you’re new to visiting a salon, or your previous hairdresser has retired, changed industries or gone on maternity leave, we understand that you will have some questions when it comes to getting your hair done

The best way to get the most out of your visit to the salon is to TRUST YOUR HAIRDRESSER. Trust that we have the knowledge and experience to give you the result you desire. Trust that we will choose the right colours and formulas to give you the best outcome.

Don’t let a magazine tell you what you should ask for to get the same hair as Kim K or Margot Robbie. The magazine doesn’t know the colour formula or the techniques used by the stylist. The magazine doesn’t know what level your hair is naturally and what your underlying pigments are. But your hairdresser does!

BRING PHOTOS, preferably digital photos on your phone, in full colour. Don’t fall for Instagram filters – they are not realistic! Find photos in natural lighting to show the true colours.

Photos are fantastic because we can both look at the same concept together, and we can point out to you what tones you see in the hair. Your idea of ‘ash blonde’ may be very different to what ash blonde really is, so by having a clear photo of what you want, we can work together on creating your perfect formula

Trust the techniques we use. You may want a naturally blended balayage effect, but you may need a full head of back to back microfoils to get the most lightness out of your hair. Again, this knowledge is all in the years of experience of your hairdresser from working on hundreds of heads of hair.

Be honest about your hair’s history. Tell us if you used a red packet dye before going darker for winter. Tell us if you were white blonde before you went back dark. If we don’t know, there’s a good chance we’re going to find out during your colouring process, and it may create an obstacle we need to overcome to give you the result you desire. If we know up front what we’re dealing with, we can work accordingly.

Book a consultation prior to your appointment. Sit down with us and discuss everything about your hair. This allows us hairdressers to work out a plan for your visit, and book you in for the right amount of time to create your ideal hair.

When it’s time for you to have your hair done, PLEASE, TRUST US, we have done this many times before, and we have practised and perfected our skills to know how to achieve the best results. We want you to always look and feel amazing. We want to you be more confident because you love your hair.
